Gopher Women's & Men's Hockey Saturday GOLD OUT
The Gopher Women's and Men's Hockey teams are encouraging all fans attending this Saturday's (January 31) Border Battle games against Wisconsin – at Ridder Arena and 3M Arena at Mariucci, respectively – to wear gold-colored apparel. Additionally, gold rally towels will also be distributed to all attendees!!
Brunch with the Coaches Update
We received news yesterday (Wednesday, Jan. 28) that, due to the recent passing of a close friend, University of Wisconsin women's hockey head coach Mark Johnson will be unable to attend our Brunch with the Coaches this coming Saturday morning (January 31). We send our thoughts with Coach Johnson at this time.
That said, the event will go on as scheduled and we will be joined additionally by Gopher Women's Hockey associate head coach Greg “Boom” May, who served as an assistant coach for the United States Under-18 Women's National Team earlier this month. We look forward to hearing from Coach May on what it took from a coaching perspective to lead Team USA to a gold medal-winning performance at the 2026 IIHF U18 Women's World Championship, along with his thoughts on the Gophers' play so far this season.
Again for those who registered, the brunch will occur in the Club Room at 3M Arena at Mariucci, starting at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday. Please enter the building through the Sundet Lobby on the southwest corner and take the elevator or stairs up to the third floor. We look forward to seeing you there!!
