Olympic quarterfinal bracket set, with action beginning today! (Friday, February 13th)
With the completion of the preliminary round of the 2026 Olympic Women's Ice Hockey tournament yesterday as Canada defeated Finland, 5-0, to claim the second seed in the playoff bracket, attention turns to the quarterfinals which start later this morning, Friday, February 13, and continue tomorrow, Saturday, February 14.
Having suffered yesterday's loss, the Finns finished as the 4th-place team in Group A, with Czechia taking the #3 spot. This sets up the following pairings, with game times listed in Central Standard Time (GMT-06)...
Czechia (3rd in Group A) vs. Sweden (1st in Group B) – Today at 9:40 a.m.
U.S.A. (1st in Group A) vs. Italy (3rd in Group B) – Today at 2:10 p.m.
Canada (2nd in Group A) vs. Germany (2nd in Group B) – Saturday at 9:40 a.m.
Finland (4th in Group A) vs. Switzerland (5th in Group A) – Saturday at 2:10 p.m.
