Five Gophers invited to Canada National Development Team and National Under-18 Team Selection Camps in B.C.

Following USA Hockey's announcement of its National Festival Development Camp rosters, Hockey Canada released the rosters for its selection camps for its National Development Team and National Under-18 Team.  We send congratulations and wishes of good luck to Gopher Women's Hockey players Hannah Clark, Gracie Graham, and Chloe Primerano as they attend the Development Team camp and to incoming Gopher freshman Adrianna Milani as she is attending the Under-18 camp.  We add a shout-out to Sarah Paul, who was invited to the Development Team camp but is listed as "unable to attend."

Forty players were invited to each of the camps which start today (Monday, August 3) in Richmond, British Columbia and run through this Saturday, August 8.  Camp attendees are vying for positions on respective teams which will each face their American counterparts in three games on August 12, 13 and 15 in Richmond; both the Canadian and U.S. roster announcements are expected this coming Sunday, August 9.

Muzerall named Canada U-18 head coach – Preceding their selection camp roster announcements, Hockey Canada announced the coaching staffs for their National Development & Under-18 Teams for the 2026-2027 season.

Notably, Gopher Women's Hockey alumna Nadine Muzerall – currently the head coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes – was named new head coach of Canada's National Women’s Under-18 Team after previously serving as assistant coach of the Development Team during the 2016-2017 season.  The new appointment sets up an interesting matchup as Muzerall and U.S. Under-18 head coach Courtney Kennedy were teammates in the Maroon & Gold for three seasons (1998-1999, 1999-2000, and 2000-2001); accordingly, we wish both coaches and their teams good luck in their upcoming games.
